Small Towns
Hidden Gems
Arcachon, France
A true French City
There is a difference between "You know France, and you know France". French lifestyle is hard to capture is many tourist spots and major cities, thanks to globalization. Far away from Paris, and an hour away from Bordeaux, it is difficult reach Arcachon. That is precisely why its true French character is well-preserved. Next to the Atlantic ocean, this small town lives in a leisurely pace with little care about the outside world. Full of small shops and asthetic neighborhoods, it is a walkable city. It is hard to find someone who knows English, but people are friendly. It is better to stay there for a few days and enjoy the place like a local.
